Snowbasin Announces Summer Activities

Snowbasin, a Sun Valley Resort, has just announced the summer schedule of activities and concerts. Their Blues, Brews & BBQ's  events will begin June 10 and run every Sunday afternoon until October 2. This is a great way to escape the heat, enjoy great music, consume bbq, and throw back some cold beverages, all while being captivated by an amazing mountain back drop. New Keller Williams Eden Office

Keller Williams Success Realty has a new office located in Eden, Utah. Actually this office has been there for a few months, but we'll be holding a grand opening soon. The Keller Williams Eden office is located at 2230 N 5500 E, in suite #3, which is on the second floor. We're in the Old Town Eden building, (behind Carlos & Harley's) and the stairs are located on the north end of the building.

Signs of Spring in the Ogden Valley

There are lots of signs that spring is arriving in the Ogden Valley. The warmish sunny days have brought out the bicyclers and joggers, Nordic Valley Ski Resort has officially closed, and snow has quickly melted on the Valley floor.  The ice on Pineview Reservoir has almost completely vanished, and I've even had a report that a paddle boarder was seen on the water in the past couple of days. Today, Sunday, March 20th,  I witnessed what I believe is the first boater of the season whizzing across the water.

There are also signs of spring in the real estate market. Spring is typically the best quarter in real estate sales. Five condo/townhomes and six single family homes have sold in the past month in the Ogden Valley. Currently there are four condo/townhomes and eight single family homes under contract in the Valley, and spring hasn't officially arrived.

Inventory is super low, so if you're a seller there's never been a better time to put your home on the market. Buyers, get yourself pre-approved so you're ready to make an offer when you see a home you love. If it's an especially nice home that's priced to sell, you can expect multiple offers.

Tired of the inversions and smoggy skies? The Ogden Valley has been enjoying sunny days and blue skies. Move your family to the Ogden Valley and give them the gift of clean air. Autumn Leaves in the Ogden Canyon

The leaves in the Ogden Valley in the higher elevations peaked a couple of weeks ago. There are a few pretty yellow trees on the Valley floor, but all in all the fall "show" wasn't too spectacular this year. I have recently noticed though, there are some really beautiful yellow and gold leaves in the Ogden Canyon. If you're looking to get out of the house this weekend and enjoy this great fall weather, head up the Ogden Canyon and take in the scenery, and while you're in the Ogden Valley, be sure to stop into Crimson Ridge where I'll be holding an open house in the afternoons. Turn onto Morning Side Lane across from Pineview Yacht Club and follow the Open House signs. The views from this house are really spectacular! August in the Ogden Valley

August in the Ogden Valley is in full swing. So far, it's been a combination of warm summer days mixed with cool, fall-like weather. Though I love the fall....I'm not ready! There's still time to take in the last of summer's activities in the Valley:

If you haven't made it to the Ogden Valley Open Market, stop in and pick up some produce, art, hand-made goods of all sorts, and delicious local food, all while you enjoy home-grown entertainment. The Valley is full of creative people and they tend to congregate at the Open Market on Thursday evenings until dusk. The market runs through September, rain or shine.

The Blues, Brews and Barbeque series at Snowbasin is the place to be, every Sunday through September. Escape the heat and listen to great free entertainment while enjoying barbeque and cold beverages on the patio at Earl's Lodge. View the schedule.

The Ogden Valley Balloon & Artist Festival comes back to the Valley August 14th through 16th. I love the early morning launch. Yes, you'll have to get up really early to watch the balloons fill with hot air and rise into the crisp morning sky, but what a way to start your day! Then stick around for a little breakfast in the park, enjoy a balloon ride, visit art and craft booths, sample more food and drink, try some kids games or rides, take in live entertainment, or compete in the pie eating contest. Music lovers will delight in the 3rd Annual Ogden Valley Roots and Blues Festival. This is a world-class festival for fans of folk and blues music, and it takes place in North Fork Park, a rustic refuge which recently received the Dark Sky Designation from the International Dark Sky Association. Come for an evening or stay 3 days and camp at the park. Bands include: Pinetop Inferno, The Brothers Comatose, Swamp Cabbage, Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band, and more. August 21 through 23rd.
