Fabulous Fall and Snow In The Mountains!

Fall is my favorite season, and there have been some gorgeous yellow and orange leaves in parts of the Valley. The weather has been mostly sunny and warm with cool crisp evenings.
It's the perfect time for an autumn drive or hike to take in the changing leaves. Find a cider mill pressing fresh apple cider and enjoy warm homemade doughnuts right out of the oven. Take a hayride, get lost in a corn maze, and go to a u-pick pumpkin farm to choose the perfect gourd to carve into a Halloween jack-o-lantern.

Better yet...consider attending the Basin Beer Fest on October 1 & 2. Snowbasin Ski Resort will be serving samples of the best Utah craft beers along with Bavarian inspired foods and treats.

Also on October 1st, when you're done sampling beer, head over to North Fork Park for their Annual Star Party. Enter the park through the middle gate and follow the signs to Mustang Flats. North Fork Park is the world's 21st International Dark Sky Park. Check out the Star Party and find out why....and be sure to dress warm!

Hurry and enjoy Fall while you can, because we've already had snow in the mountains.

Last Thursday's storm blew through like a hurricane. It knocked out power in the entire valley for many hours, and temperatures dropped over night bringing snow to the higher elevations. Although a blanket of white snow on the mountain tops is pleasing to look at, I'm not ready!
